Colorectal Clinical Nurse Specialist

Deliver and promote high quality, evidence based practice for colorectal patients. Work with the multi-disciplinary team to coordinate care and support to provide a seamless service and refer to other nursing services. Act as role model, clinical expert and advocate for service users within the Trust and externally. Ensure that the collation of data reflects the level of service activity and patient.
Participate in the development of guidelines/ protocols for the colo-rectal team and Trust. Participate in the development and monitoring of the enhanced recovery programmes. Provide education to other nursing staff and MDT members and other health professionals in formal and informal settings so they can be informed about the needs and management of the client group.
