Description:

Cowan Insurance Group is looking for a Commercial Account Assistant to join our Team! This role is reporting to the Manager, Programs. The Commercial Account Assistant is part of a team responsible for providing administrative support on new and renewal accounts in partnership with the Commercial Account Representatives to ensure client retention and timely customer service. Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with team to provide support on policy changes, renewals, new business, proposals, follow ups, binders, slips, finance contracts, scanning and other duties as assigned by Manager
  • Maintain proper management of inbox and follow up queue, with special attention paid to timelines on preparation of liability slips, memorandums of insurance, certificates of insurance (timelines may change based on prioritization of requests)
  • Support billing transactions and preparing invoices
  • Assist with Pre-Renewal preparation and report gathering
  • Support with updating documentation in the Broker Management System (EPIC)
  • Prioritize work received from Commercial Account Representatives and Sales Consultant based on request type
  • Support team members and train on all lines of business within each Programs segment
