Commercial Analyst (Aromatics)

Commercial Analyst for Chemicals is a newly created position with one of the world’s largest trading organizations, which aims to bolster its global growth and expansion.

With strong experience in data and market analytics for the chemicals sector, you are also:

• keen to gain global exposure and further develop your network and expertise
• have a strong desire to influence commercial decisions on a daily basis in a fast-paced, high-performing environment

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematical or other relevant discipline
• 3-8 years experience in petrochemicals, olefins, or aromatics as a market/fundamental analyst
• A mandatory high level of expertise in programming languages such as Python and/or visual analytics platforms like Tableau or PowerBI is highly advantageous.

• Conduct detailed market analysis on global supply and demand, production trends, and geopolitical events to inform trading strategies.
• Use time series analysis and market data to forecast oil price trends based on fundamental supply and demand factors.
• Assess the impact of global economic indicators, including inflation, currency fluctuations, and interest rates, on oil markets.
• Monitor geopolitical developments and evaluate their effects on oil supply, demand, and price volatility.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports, offering actionable insights to senior management and traders to drive market strategies.
