JOB DESCRIPTION

Operations is embedded in every business to support the firm’s business functions and handle the end-to-end process management of all core production and client-servicing activities across each business. You’ll join an Operations team within one of our lines of business or corporate functions to help manage our processes and services while growing business-specific expertise.
In the program you will work in a collaborative environment that teaches you how the Operations function helps deliver core services to the firm and its clients. The goal is to assist you in building a long-term career in our Operational support areas and help with there continued growth.

WHAT TO EXPECT

In this two-year program, you will be hired directly into one of our high performing Operations teams. During the program, you will work in a transformative environment that develops your skills and knowledge while delivering core services to the firm and its clients. This will enable you to build a long-term career within the firm.

You will make an impact in a specific Operations area, which could include payments, trading services, lending services, client management, employee operations and many others. Some examples of the impact you will make may include:

  • Helping with the end-to-end management of the client onboarding experience
  • Being responsible for processing and investigating client transactions for a variety of products
  • Data Analytics and Reporting support for operational functions
  • Analyze reference data to help support trading
  • Optimize processes in collaboration with Technology teams

Your responsibilities will vary based on your team assignment. You’ll help deliver key solutions to our clients in coordination with other JPMC teams. In addition, you will gain exposure to senior leaders and receive best-in-class training as part of a broader analyst community.
This program will give you the opportunity to learn about Operations and develop your career. You will be fully integrated within a high-performing team and make a clear impact for the organization and our clients. While driving your core responsibilities, you will be growing your bank product expertise and looking for ways to innovate within the space. In addition to on-the-job experience, you will be part of a community of other analysts and will attend social events, interact with senior leaders, and learn new skills.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

  • University degree preferred or 2-3 years of related experience in Financial Services Operations
  • Great team player able to work in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Detail-orientated with strong critical thinking, attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Have the ability to manage time, prioritize assignments and know when to seek help for optimal solution
  • Demonstrated growth mindset with desire to learn financial operations
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience processing multiple documents, payments and transactions for clients and various stakeholders
  • Experience with client relationship management
  • Ongoing collecting, inputting, analyzing, and monitoring of financial information
  • Root-cause analysis with experience researching, documenting, and independently reporting information to resolve exceptions, propose solutions, and deliver results
  • Maintenance of issue logs, troubleshooting of problems, and handling of complaints with appropriate and timely escalation
  • Experience with data analytics including working with large data sets, data analysis and visualization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

  • Data automation (Tableau, Alteryx, etc.)
  • Pre and post-trade lifecycle and portfolio management
  • Loan origination, servicing, analysis, and quality control
  • Money market, mutual funds, equities, fixed income, alternative investments and derivatives
