Job Description
A crucial part of the commercial engine, the Commercial Coordinator is pivotal in supporting the department team members – General Manager, Sales, Marketing + Revenue in administrative duties and assist with the coordination of their activities. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this role will also be key to assist in all areas of direct sales efforts to increase hotel market share, maintain a high level of customer service while bringing an unparalleled approach to converting group and leisure business.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum two (2) years’ experience in a Sales Coordinator or Executive Assistant role within a hotel environment will be highly regarded.
  • Experience in Opera PMS and Sales systems such as ANAIS, Cvent, and Delphi is highly desirable.
  • Microsoft Office and general computer literacy is essential.
  • Understanding of distribution channels, GDS, OTA and direct highly regarded.
  • Highly organised and efficient, with excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organisational, planning and problem-solving skills, flexibility and adaptability to manage changing priorities and workflow.
  • Must have Full Australian Working Rights

Responsibilities:

  • Support Commercial team members in the form of, but not limited to, generating reports, preparing proposals/contracts, creating presentations, booking travel.
  • Manage sales systems such as ANAIS, Cvent, and Delphi.
  • Distribute sales leads and work in line with business needs.
  • Conducting cold calls for comparative purposes and new lead searches.
  • Coordinate group requests once the contract has been signed and hand over all details to Groups Reservations/Catering & Events Manager.
  • Lead special projects as assigned.
  • Attend regular commercial meetings for minute taking.
  • Coordinate and collaborate on site client visits.
  • Helping with the welcoming process for new members.
  • Build rapport and strong relations with Mondrian Gold Coast Team Members.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of professional contact and customer service with clientele.
  • Attend to telephone and email enquiries in a timely manner, both internally & externally.
  • Assist with promotions and the preparation of products and services.
  • Support with sales trip/trade show preparation.
  • Maintaining stock of printed material and merchandise.
  • Keep things running smoothly!
