Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Handle all activities necessary to maintain smooth business transactions, including providing quotes, processing purchase orders, coordinating with procurement and logistics, and managing payments.
  • Oversee and manage the commercial operations of the Service Support Group to ensure seamless transactions for the supply of spare parts and services.
  • Develop and negotiate terms and conditions for service, upgrade, or maintenance projects, engaging with clients and stakeholders to reach agreements.
  • Lead internal commercial discussions involving project teams, legal, procurement, and accounts.
  • Collaborate with banks, insurance companies, logistics firms, and tax consultants to meet project needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, procurement teams, and other key stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of quotations, purchase orders, and contracts for clients and vendors.
  • Liaise with group companies to discuss requirements, review prices, negotiate, and strategize on pricing, sales terms, and conditions.
  • Organize management approval meetings with other subsidiaries.
  • Contribute to business development and promotion efforts, including client visits, sales calls, and the preparation of promotional materials.
  • Engage in discussions about new business activities and service menus, securing necessary approvals.
  • Handle commercial issues for after-sales and projects, including billing, invoicing, contract negotiation, and legal and insurance matters.
  • Ensure the upkeep of any necessary business licenses, registrations, and statutory permits.
  • Lead preparations for business strategy meetings.
  • Develop and implement work procedures and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity in the service business.
  • Maintain and manage all data generated during daily operations, including cost data, vendor information, processed quotes, and yearly plans and targets.
  • Provide administrative support and development for software, tools, and export control procedures.
  • Assist in preparing monthly management reports for the Technical Service BU.
  • Facilitate communication in Japanese for day-to-day activities with company solutions, vendors, and clients.
  • Assist in developing knowledge and providing training on various commercial aspects, such as taxation, insurance, trade regulations, and export control.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5-8 years of experience in overseas assignments.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with a Japanese organization.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience with an international/local manufacturer, engineering company, or trading company.
  • Experience in the commercial side of business operations.
  • Proficient in Japanese speaking and writing.
  • General knowledge of overseas construction projects, including taxation and contract terms.
  • Understanding of business negotiations and EPC costing.
  • Basic knowledge of chemical plants and their construction.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience working with multinational companies.
  • Pleasant personality and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
