THE ROLE

We are looking for a newly qualified to 2 PQE Commercial Counsel or a Commercial Paralegal with commercial contracts experience to join our legal team. You will report to the Senior Legal Counsel. You’ll be an integral part of a fast-paced start-up environment, assisting with a wide range of commercial legal matters, including being a key player in closing customer deals to support our business’ growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Contract Drafting & Review: Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts including SaaS agreements, Order Forms, NDAs, partnership agreements, and vendor agreements.
• Commercial Legal Advice: Provide day-to-day legal support on commercial legal matters, including IP rights, data protection issues, AI legal issues, and product-related legal concerns.
• Legal Compliance: Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including data privacy laws and AI regulation
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (primarily sales but also product and engineering teams) to provide practical legal advice, helping to address legal questions in a way that balances risk with the company’s goals.
• Contract Negotiation: Support the negotiation of terms with external partners, clients, and vendors.
• Legal Documentation & processes: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contracts and legal documentation and contribute to legal playbooks and creating legal processes.
• Communication: Translate legal concepts into clear, actionable advice for non-legal team members, ensuring all stakeholders understand the key legal considerations.
