Responsibilities:
Diageo Europe Partner Markets Beer is a commercial structure focused on delivering growth for the Diageo beer portfolio in 45 countries across Europe.
A distributor model is operated meaning the route to market is through a network of partnerships with leading brewers & beer distributors in each of the countries.
Reporting to the Commercial Director Beer, 5 Country Managers will be responsible for developing value adding relationships principally with the distributor organisations across the following countries:
France, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Canaries, Gibraltar and Greece.
The role will require frequent visits to priority markets.
Top Accountabilities
Joined Up Business Planning
- Lead the team to develop and implement annual market JUBP plans and Commercial plans in Partnership with Marketing teams, Business Unit Directors.
- Adapt shopper, category and commercial growth drivers to meet every Business Unit requirements in consistency with strategic priorities.
Executional Excellence - Own and decide on GAME activity calendars & Channel activation:
Growth platforms selection and commercial A&P allocation within countries business strategy Align Promotional investment priorities by brand / channel based on robust M&E Final activity plans based on return on investment, “excitability” and customer impact Innovation Commercialisation: Actionable and value adding roll out plans for all innovation Market Expertise & Partner Support
- Contribute constructively in the development of country portfolio, trade strategy and innovation strategy, in order to guide investment decision and prioritization.
- Ensure control and compliance of distributors’ activation in respect to Diageo Marketing code and Code of business conduct.
Perform quarterly business reviews with key distributors to ensure performance and plans are on track.
Control and compliance
Track and control the effectiveness of marketing spend
- Ensure full compliance with DMC
- Work with finance partner to ensure sound credit control
- Ensure full compliance with CARM
