We are now looking for a skilled and inventive Commercial Director for Consumer Goods who will drive and execute the commercial strategic plan for Chile.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Commercial Director for Consumer Goods position is a key role in driving Essity’s business strategy in Chile, supporting all categories for Consumer Goods Business: Tissue, Fem care & Inco.
The main objective is to Guarantee the availability and visibility of our portfolio at all moments of consumer purchase, looking for sustainable sales growth, through close and reliable relationships with our business partners.
You will be responsible for developing, directing, and controlling related sales activities to make sure that agreed sales, growth and profitability targets are achieved. In addition, the role’s includes operational responsibilities in Sales, Trade Marketing, Marketing, GTM, Commercial competitive intelligence & emerging channel.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Defines and secures implementation of sales plan for the country, based on overall related business objectives, by setting targets and following-up on performance including deciding on corrective actions as needed to achieve objectives and implement best practices.
  • Responsible for the P&L
  • Execute brand and marketing strategies, aligned with the region, to take advantage of global assets while defending local particularities.
  • Responsible for Trade spend efficiency, as well as focus on taking shopper and consumer insights to influence customers.
  • Contributes to the development of functional strategies and the overall country business Units plans.
  • Builds & maintains strong relationship with customers and clear customer communication strategy to long term profitable growth.
  • Performs negotiations on contract and conditions with key customers including preparation and conduction of business plans within level of authority.
  • Oversees bottom-up sales forecast to meet annual budget and financial forecast requirements as well as taking responsibility for commercial contribution and sales expenses budget.
  • Manages and executes sales, shopper marketing and customer marketing activities to develop the different consumer goods channels and optimize profitability and fulfil overall relevant consumer goods targets.
  • Ensures agile implementations for prices increases and manage price strategy in point of sales to contributes to sustainable profitability.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationship and collaboration within sales and related functional teams such as Marketing, Logistics and Product Development, and secures coordination on country level as needed.
  • Leads, directs and develops the respective sales organization and related functions (e.g. Finance, Customer service, Logistic, Public Relations, Marketing) in terms of their structure, people and performance to achieve maximum efficiency & effectiveness.
