About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Director to lead and execute our commercial strategy within our Calibra business. This senior leadership position is pivotal in driving revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion. As the Commercial Director, you will play a critical role in managing sales operations, optimising business processes, and fostering strong relationships with key clients and partners.
This position offers a unique blend of strategic planning and hands-on operational management in a fast-paced, global business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a unified global business strategy aligned with company objectives.
  • Foster a commercial culture of partnership and mutual growth with clients.
  • Identify new market opportunities, analyse competitors, and monitor market trends.
  • Plan for market expansion and enhance the existing product portfolio.
  • Set and monitor sales targets and business goals.
  • Ensure revenue, profitability, and KPI targets are met.
  • Coordinate commercial activities across regions, customer segments, and teams.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing commercial team.
  • Motivate and support team members’ professional growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate individual and team performance.
  • Prepare and manage the commercial budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Analyze and report on commercial performance, proposing optimization strategies.
  • Track ROI and profitability of commercial investments.
  • Enhance brand awareness and reputation in international markets.
  • Develop consistent communication strategies across all channels and markets.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key partners.
  • Conduct regular competitor and market analyses to inform strategic decisions.
  • Evaluate customer feedback and refine product offerings to meet market needs.
  • Use internal data to generate actionable insights for growth.
  • Partner with senior management and other departments to align business objectives.
  • Actively participate in management meetings and company-wide improvement projects.

Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies:

Education & Experience:

  • University degree in economics, management, or business (preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience in the commercial sector, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • FMCG experience is an advantage.

Key Skills:

  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of team development and goal achievement.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with market insight expertise.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level); additional languages are an advantage.
  • Ability to thrive in a multicultural environment and adapt to diverse markets.
  • Active driver’s license (business travel required, up to 50% of the time).
