Description:
ASSOCIATE / SENIOR ASSOCIATE – INSURANCE POLICYHOLDER AND COMMERCIAL DISPUTES
Burges Salmon is offering an opportunity for a Solicitor, ideally of 4 to 7 years’ PQE, to join our leading Dispute Resolution Unit. We are looking for a mid to senior level lawyer with experience of (and interest in developing a practice in) Insurance Policyholder Disputes.
Ideal candidates will also be a competent commercial dispute resolution lawyer, capable of handling general commercial disputes (such as professional negligence, commercial contracts, warranty claims etc.).
You can expect complex and high value work on behalf of household name national and international clients. In this role you would work closely with Matt Kaltsas-Walker to grow our Insurance Policyholder Disputes practice.
THE TEAM
Our 100+ strong team of dispute resolution lawyers work on a diverse range of complex challenges facing their clients. We focus on outcomes, not just process.
You’ll work with a range of high-profile and cutting-edge clients in a variety of sectors . Working as part of a team, you’ll handle complex commercial litigation including contractual disputes, corporate/shareholder disputes, professional negligence, fraud, insurance and financial services/banking disputes.
Within insurance disputes, the team mainly acts for policy holders, so experience of working with this client base is ideal, but not essential. We act for clients in a variety of sectors, so we are looking for experience of or familiarity with at least one of the following areas:
- Professional Indemnity
- Directors’ and Officers’ Liability
- Cyber
- Property and Casualty
- Warranty and Indemnity
- Construction Insurance
