Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Commercial Excellence Specialist for our Americas region. The successful candidate can be based in the UK, Americas, or Germany at one of our Hempel offices. This position will play a key role in implementing commercial processes and sales excellence activities within the region, supporting the commercial organization to drive growth and improve sales operations. This role involves collaborating with various departments to standardize commercial processes, utilizing sales tools, and providing strategic insights and recommendations.
On a day-to-day basis, the key responsibilities in the role will revolve around:

The role involves providing support to sales organization and key stakeholders in close collaboration with the Global ComEx team on cross-regional projects across segments. Responsibilities include achieving growth targets through performance reviews, pipeline management, and identifying growth opportunities, as well as driving continuous improvement and transparency in sales processes, capabilities, and tools. The role requires independently generating reports and collaborating with Sales Leaders on topics such as pipeline management, sales meetings, and performance analysis. Monitoring regional and sales performance and addressing gaps with key stakeholders is essential. Additional duties include supporting and training business and commercial leaders, providing data extracts, analysis, presentations, and insights, and contributing region-specific insights to standardize processes and operations within the team.

  • Actively working with Regional Sales Managers to reach targets/budgets through clear commercial processes, including facilitating pipeline processes with the sales team.
  • Facilitating performance reviews with country/regional managers.
  • Driving the implementation and effective usage of sales tools (CRM & PowerBI).
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement in commercial processes.
  • Developing win/loss analyses and using learnings to shape the approach to new business opportunities and providing recommendations to management.
  • Supporting the team with the definition and standardization of commercial processes and providing in-country insights to improve understanding and decision-making.
  • Supporting/leading ad-hoc strategic commercial projects.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Econometrics, Data Science, or any data-heavy discipline.
  • Experience working with a sales/commercial organization.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and being team player, motivated and positive.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel (large data set analysis).
  • Experience and capabilities in CPQ, Power BI, CRM.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written).
  • Strong analytical skills and highly organized.
  • Willingness to travel when required.
