Sodexo Health and Care have a brand-new amazing opportunity for a Commercial Finance Manager to work on our large high-profile contract in Colchester. This role is primarily based at Colchester Hospital, with travel required to Ipswich providing coverage for both locations. You will play a pivotal role supporting the Business & Regional Directors in all aspects of commercial decision making, financial performance, financial control, and contractual negotiations ensuring discussions with Trusts and clients across the portfolio.
This role will be responsible for driving and continuously improving financial performance, initiating and supporting local revenue and profit growth projects, and supporting the delivery of segment initiatives. You will take responsibility for accurate financial and management information and the management of a site-based finance function. As this is a newly mobilized contract, we are ideally looking for candidates with a background in facilities management and/or healthcare who can quickly adapt and take initiative.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Serve as a trusted ambassador for Sodexo by maintaining professionalism and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide expert financial and commercial support to operational leads, driving financial performance through sound decision-making and analysis.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting by producing management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and balance sheet reviews in line with group deadlines.
  • Oversee robust billing and revenue collection processes to ensure all contract mechanisms are adhered to and revenue opportunities are maximized.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to identify risks and opportunities, implement plans to address them, and achieve profitable growth through pricing and contract variations.
  • Supervise and lead a site-based finance team, fostering high engagement levels, effective communication, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Identify process efficiencies and deliver change management initiatives, supporting Sodexo and Healthcare segment strategies to enhance contract performance.
  • Build credible relationships with Trusts and clients through proactive discussions and negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
