Description:
We are currently conducting an executive search for a highly experienced Commercial General Manager to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy for our client’s vessel portfolio. The role will focus on strategic asset management, chartering, and optimizing vessel operations, with a close alignment to the company’s broader objectives. The successful candidate will work alongside key stakeholders to drive the commercial success.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the formation of a highly efficient sales and support team, designing a structure that supports business growth and operational effectiveness.
- Spearhead the sales initiatives for vessels, identifying key market opportunities and building strong relationships with prospective clients and partners.
- Oversee vessel transactions by coordinating with buyers and managing the preparation, negotiation, and review of contracts to ensure favorable outcomes.
- Supervise ongoing client support, ensuring that after-sales services are delivered effectively, maintaining strong and lasting relationships with clients.
- Identify potential charter opportunities and develop strategies to secure profitable charter agreements for owned vessels.
- Effectively charter vessels to clients, ensuring high utilization rates and optimizing revenue generation from vessel operations.
- Ensure that all operations align with maritime industry regulations, company policies, and best practices to maintain a high standard of compliance.
- Act as the main liaison for charterers and brokers, ensuring seamless communication and resolving any operational or contractual issues in a timely manner.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to drive business success and operational excellence.
