Responsibilities:

  • Actively develop strong relationships with Senior Management and decision makers of customers within the given portfolio.
  • Remains informed about the customer’s business and external market dynamics, and regularly meets with customers to discuss and understand customer strategies and priorities.
  • Deep sector, regional, customer and product knowledge to proactively sell the complete range of products and solutions to help make customers successful.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on behalf of DHL Express within the sector region for the Sales Partner portfolio.
  • Partner and provide in-country leadership with support for customers in the portfolio, ensuring we are the Provider of Choice and grow the business ahead of market in a complaint manor.
  • Own the operationalising and manage compliance and adherence to the sales partner policy in the region.
  • Ensure the implementation, compliance and integrity of relevant sales processes and policies, CRM tools and pipeline visibility.
  • Responsible for the assessment of existing and potential new sales partners ensuring that all risks have been considered and that only suitable sales partners are considered.
  • Support the commercial team to manage the onboarding of sales partners by:
  • Working with the legal counsel, support the commercial team to ensure that Sales Partners complete the appropriate legal contract / agreement according to their business model.
  • Assisting in obtaining Tender Review Board approval, as may be required by each Sales Partner’s Business Model.
  • Ensure that the SSA commercial team follow the Approval Matrix included in the Sales Partner policy.
  • Work closely with the Customer Operations Group representative to align with GSOP and Standards.
  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of the regional sales compliance and governance framework taking into account current/ future business plans, exposure, risks, applicable laws and regulations and internal Group Sales compliance and governance standards and policies.
  • Ownership of the consistent review of SSA sales governance and compliance policies and processes against global standards.
  • Collaborate with the SSA Sales function on the design, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of sound business processes across commercial.
  • Define and deploy programs, control systems, compliance metrics and tools at country level to enhance compliance with DHL protocols and standards and with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with regional sales team and country commercial teams to achieve defined results of the Sales function without compromising on compliance standards, guidelines and requirements.
  • Conduct reviews and monitor compliance with approved business processes and control frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain a monitoring dashboard for the consolidation of information and reporting on sales related compliance and governance metrics. Reporting to be used for presentation to the SSA Sales function, the AMB, global and audit.
  • Manage the Express global commercial compliance audit for SSA.
  • Providing support to the Commercial function in country to responses to sales compliance related questions.
  • Support the Sales team with negotiations with clients/customers ensuring adherence to compliance standards and procedures.
  • Provide expert guidance and training to SSA sales function employees on governance, risk and compliance concepts within the Sales function.
