Description:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of experience in project management or 2+ years project management in mechanical installation, building automation, electrical installation or construction field.
- Must be able to read blueprints, structural drawings and understand complex building architectural, mechanical, and electrical documents.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience and/or certification in BACnet; or LEED certification
- PMP certification or working towards PMP Certification.
- Associates Degree in electrical engineering or project management
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize among assignments with a strong adherence to deadlines.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, both with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:
- The Project Manager is responsible for managing the installation of commercial HVAC equipment within various vertical markets, positively representing the company in all client and architect/engineer interactions
- Work with end-users, sales staff, and prime contractors to ensure a clear understanding of project scope and deliverables
- The Project Manager helps oversee and communicate project progression from inception to completion, including design, permits, material delivery, labor schedules, and field installation
- Develops a comprehensive project plan to meet schedules and budgets. Conducts Work in Progress meetings
- Expected to develop working knowledge with Building Automation Systems (BAS) systems; Carrier i-Vu knowledge is a plus
- Understands and follows all published codes, standards, and unique project specifications
- Conveys a sense of professionalism, fairness, and concern for customers, labor, and management
- Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Accurately forecast revenue each month by reviewing each project to estimate the value of work completed each month correctly
- Execute all major functions required for project management, including project initiation, project planning, project execution, project monitoring, and project close-out
- Manage the Change Order process, assuring that scope creep does not occur
- Assure that all projects will be managed to or exceed the percentage of booked project margin
- Assure that job safety is priority on every project.
