Description:

JOB OVERVIEW:

Woola Mechanical (a subsidiary of Woola Capital) is seeking an experienced Journeyman HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) Technician to join our dedicated team to lead our HVACR division. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in both HVAC and refrigeration systems, with the ability to install, service, and repair a variety of systems. This role requires a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Journeyman HVACR certification/license.
  • 5+ years of experience working as an HVACR technician.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVACR systems, VRF systems, electrical components, and controls.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, OSHA safety standards, and environmental regulations related to refrigerants.
  • Experience leading a team of technicians
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Red Seal Certification.
  • Experience with commercial refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead our team of HVACR technicians as a supervisor, trainer and mentor
  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in HVACR systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
  • Repair or replace defective components and wiring in HVACR systems.
  • Monitor and maintain refrigerant levels, and ensure systems comply with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Work with a variety of systems including furnaces, heat pumps, rooftop units, chillers, freezers, and ice machines.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed, materials used, and customer interactions.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding system performance, maintenance recommendations, and service timelines.
