Responsibilities:

THE ROLE IS BASED ON A HYBRID APPROACH IN OUR NEWPORT OR CARDIFF OFFICES, BUT WE DO ALSO CONSIDER REMOTE WORKING SO WELCOME APPLICATIONS FROM ACROSS THE UK.

As Commercial Litigation Solicitor, you will support the Head of Legal and Head of Litigation and help advise the business on complex commercial litigation matters.
You will work with key stakeholders to support and help drive the company’s litigation strategies. You’ll also provide straight-talking legal advice and will convey complex information in a way that others can readily follow.
You will embrace the fast-paced environment and ensure that you keep up to date with current law, best practice and legal trends to ensure you are key in allowing the business to achieve its corporate and commercial strategy.

SOME OF THE DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Work collaboratively within the legal team and with wider stakeholders.
  • Engage with business stakeholders on legal issues, ensuring that key stakeholders are appropriately briefed and kept appraised of matters.
  • Undertaking legal research.
  • Providing legal advice on litigation matters.
  • Have a commercial approach to legal and business issues and risk.
  • Being an integral member of the legal team dealing with complex commercial litigation and regulatory enforcement.
  • Assist development and driving the company’s strategy for such matters.
  • Provide straight-talking, concise, and commercially focussed advice to senior leadership on litigation matters.
