WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a results-driven Commercial Manager with experience in Technology Consulting (ideally cloud) having submitted successful bids for Central Government and Private Sector FTSE organisations.

  • Demonstrable experience of successful bid outcomes within the public and private sector and defensive contract negotiations.
  • Experience writing bids for a technology consultancy, ideally offering cloud solutions.
  • Will have excellent writing and strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of IT services, solutions and market trends.
  • Knowledgeable about public sector frameworks (e.g. G-Cloud) and experience successfully completing the tender processes.

We are looking for a hands-on, experienced Commercial Manager to co-ordinate activity across our end-to-end commercial processes for both public and private sector customers.

  • Acting as the main point of coordination for the review, negotiation and finalisation of all commercial contracts. Ongoing storage and contract management.
  • Leading the production of customer proposals and the completion of bid responses. Organising internal meetings, understanding and communicating the goals, deadlines and requirements for each bid, allocating sections to others in the company as needed, consolidating responses and ensuring the bid is submitted ahead of the deadline.
  • Optimising bid response times and building a library of ‘best in class’ responses covering Cloudscaler services, strengths and differentiators. Producing content for bids, statements of work, and framework submissions. Refining all content to create a single voice and consistent tone.
  • Implementing a consistent approach for storing bid information.
  • Setting up tools, processes and templates to streamline bid management.
  • Leading on the implementation and ongoing maintenance of common pre-requisites e.g. ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials certification. Ensuring financial and security bid compliance.
  • Building pricing and financial models which can be used to track spend during the delivery phase.
  • Coaching bid contributors and key stakeholders on best practice.
  • Proactively identifying new bid opportunities and owning the bid pipeline, including monitoring frameworks, invitations to tender, managing the assessment process and updating systems accordingly.
  • Proactively identifying suitable frameworks across the public sector, managing successful applications.
  • Manage and create presentations used as part of the tender process.
  • Development and implementation of a long term commercial strategy
