This Sales Specialist will play a crucial role in driving the commercial growth of newly-launched and emerging products. This role requires a deep understanding of our products, market segments, and client use-cases to effectively demonstrate value, support sales efforts, and facilitate product adoption.

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the energy commodity markets or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data, research, and analytics products.

Responsibilities:

Product Demonstration & Client Engagement:
Understand and demonstrate the value of our products to clients and prospects at a level close to that of the Head of Service.
Conduct initial client demos to free up time for the Head of Service, enabling efficient team scaling.

Sales Support & Facilitation:

  • Support Account Management (AM) and New Client Development (NCD) sales efforts to achieve product sales targets.
  • Recommend and shape optimized sales pitches based on a deep understanding of the product and client workflows.

Commercial Growth Ownership:

  • Serve as the single point of contact for a product-centric overview of commercial growth for newly-launched and emerging products.
  • Monitor product pipelines for NCD and AM sales to identify upsell opportunities, price adjustments, and new logo acquisitions.
  • Client Feedback & Product Development:
  • Collaborate with the Customer Success team to obtain and interpret client feedback.
  • Translate feedback into actionable product enhancement and development ideas for the Research team.

Lead Generation & Marketing Support:

  • Ensure adequate lead generation support from Marketing (campaigns, webinars, client events), Commercial Research (segment-specific projects), and Conferences (attendance and speaking opportunities).
  • Proactively support Marketing with content and messaging.
  • Relationship Building:
  • Develop trusted professional relationships with the Head of Service, senior analysts, Heads of AM, NCD, and CS, and their team members.

Market Analysis & Strategy:

  • Analyze ‘white space’ opportunities in existing accounts and new segments.
  • Develop and execute action plans to capture identified value.
  • Own and update the Go-To-Market (GTM) Plan.

Opportunity Origination:

  • Proactively originate opportunities through personal network and industry contacts.

Deal Support

  • Support Due Diligence Questionnaire (DDQ) completion where required.
  • Reduce involvement in the sales process once the client is convinced of the product’s value, allowing AM/NCD to lead negotiations and deal closures.
