Job Description
We are now seeking a Commercial/Contracts Manager to join us and play a key role assisting our Clients in the transition to a low carbon energy future. The role will involve working in a dynamic and fast paced organisation and will afford the candidate the opportunity to work on strategic and innovative projects across all stages of development.

The candidate should have excellent contract and commercial acumen with proven capability of project delivery in the Offshore Energy or Infrastructure sector.

  • Responsible for leading and managing all commercial aspects of the programme delivery.
  • Responsible for ensuring all commercially focused activities and outputs are delivered to meet programme objectives including, but not limited to: financial and commercial reporting, planning, funding requests, estimating, capital approval, commercial benchmarking, cost performance management and reporting.
  • Lead the successful development, implementation and continuous review of the Programme Commercial Strategy and Estimating Strategy.
  • Support in the development, implementation and continuous review of the Contract Strategy, aligning with the Procurement Strategy and proposed contract packaging structure.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams when required.
  • Managing relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders providing a leadership role to the wider programme team.
  • Lead on best approaches to develop cost efficiencies and bringing Value for Money approaches.
  • Support in contract management and negotiation with consultants, suppliers and contractors.
  • Liaise with senior members to review assess and evaluate contractor delivery in accordance with the project processes terms and conditions.
  • Provide strategic leadership with respect to programme funding.
  • Additional project work when required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience leading commercial activities on multi-(e)Bn programmes preferably in the Offshore Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Sectors.
  • Professional membership(s) with industry recognized bodies ie SCSI, RICS, APM is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and organisational skills will be essential for this role with the ability to forge and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Proactive ability to work independently and work with cross-functional teams including consultants and contractors.
