  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field. a master degree is an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in business development and sales within supply chain financing,
  • invoice discounting, and purchase order financing within the fintech industry, with a focus on lending.
  • In-depth knowledge of lending products, financial services, and industry regulations.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Responsibilities:

POSITION PURPOSE

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding client base, and establishing strategic partnerships. The ideal person would have a deep understanding of the lending industry and a proven track record in business development for extending credit to risk assets for MSMEs, supply chain financing, invoice discounting and large corporates. He/She would have proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the banking and fintech industries, with a focus on lending.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Generate leads and actively pursue new client relationships to meet set financial targets
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients within supply chain, MSMEs and large corporates through networking, outreach, and relationship-building activities.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Monitor sales metrics and key performance indicators to assess and improve sales
  • performance.
  • Identify and establish strategic partnerships with key industry players, financial institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Assess credit risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Analyze the profitability and performance of lending products and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with brands marketing and communications, product development, and
  • operations teams to align business development efforts with overall company objectives.
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends.
  • Utilize data analytics to gain insights into customer behavior and preferences.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and market trends within the lending fintech industry.
  • Perform other related duties as assigne
