SUMMARY OF ROLE

This is a hybrid role and supports Raytheon locations in both Harlow and Glenrothes
This highly valued and key role is required to support a functional team within the UK Raytheon business. As a contracts and commercial specialist and leader you are expected to lead a team or work as sole expert for a significant programme. You will be a business enabler, supporting through leadership both the winning and subsequent delivery of a profitable business. Making our company one that our customers see as easy to contract with and work with through the delivery of their programmes. You will provide contractual and commercial governance to your team, ensuring all other areas of the business are fully supported in your contracting area, support multiple contracts and provide flexibility as the business requires.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Responsible for all commercial elements of the programme including customer relationship
  • Lead a team of Commercial professionals to deliver value to the business and be an enabling function to the programme success
  • Production of business case briefings and financial reporting for senior reviews
  • Review and approve contracts, gates, financial changes etc within delegation
  • Provide full support and leadership to contract/agreement negotiations
  • Provide team support to development, approval and issuance of bids and proposals, whether in response to RFP/ITN etc or as part of the company strategy
  • Provide guidance on establishing commercial risk and effective mitigation
  • Ensure processes are followed effectively
  • Resolve all commercial issues promptly and effectively as point of escalation
  • Be the champion of change and improvement
  • Develops and delivers innovative commercial solutions in support of proposals and customer requirements, together with administration of complex due diligence activity.
  • Negotiates a range of contractual agreements and manages non routine issues through senior functional management, referring to counsel when necessary.
