Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Joining our growing team! We are seeking a Commercial Manager to join our team on The Jervis Bay Road Intersection Upgrade Project in NSW. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Contracts Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and managing all contract-related activities throughout the project lifecycle.
The Commercial Manager also monitors project progress, evaluates risks, and handles any contractual disputes or variations. This is a permanent role with SRG Global and an opportunity to move on to other projects following project completion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • A combination of upstream and downstream activities as well as internal reporting
  • Coordination of the payment schedule and ensuring compliance
  • Submission of monthly progress claims and submission to TfNSW
  • Liaising with the Engineering team to prepare monthly reporting
  • Settlement of Sub-Contract final accounts including negotiation of variations and claims
  • Monitoring of major Sub-Contractors’ progress by value to identify implications to the main contract programme in conjunction with the Engineering team
  • Monitoring and managing contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identification, notification, and evaluation of events giving rise to extension of time
  • Assist in establishment of Project Controls including Cost Tracker and Progress Reports
  • Report on all contractual and financial matters encountered on the project
  • Responsible for both client reports and internal reporting
  • Set up job folder including progress claim forms, contractual templates, etc.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure contract requirements are met
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, industry standards, and legal requirements
  • Liaise with site staff and design team and review “for construction” information to locate and thereafter evaluate the cost and value of all variations and likely future variations
  • Calculate and evaluate Sub-contractor payment certification
  • Be able to identify required information and gather this from the required parties
