WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • University degree in in food science or similar
  • Relevant professional background in food FMCG
  • Knowledge of the production techniques and quality standards for the food industry
  • Experience in line quality control of high manual production is essential
  • Strong analytical and solutions focused mindset
  • Good interpersonal and strong influencing skills, ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and with cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing a team is required
  • Advanced MS Office skills, SAP is preferred

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The role of Commercial & Packaging Quality Manager is responsible for the quality management in Australia & New Zealand from Plant gate to the Consumer. It is aimed to protect the consumer safety and improve the Consumer Experience and Consumer Satisfaction of Ferrero products by spreading and promoting the “Ferrero Quality Culture” and acting as reference point regarding quality topics. The role is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of quality and freshness improvement plans and other quality activities related to commercial logistics, trade, points of sales, and consumer service.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive initiatives and strategies in line with commercial quality priorities and targets in order to maximize quality/freshness, work on the improvements
  • Manage monthly reporting on overall quality performance, monitor progress vs target for Freshness, Transit time (gate-in, gate-out), Value Chain Stock and Complaints
  • Act as the local point of reference for shelf-life optimization and harmonization
  • Work with Supply Chain to ensure the quality in commercial logistics
  • Plan and implement audits, collaborate on initiatives on optimization of stock management and execution of destruction activities on returned product
  • Work with commercial copacking team to ensure copacking activities quality compliance
  • Drive relevant discussion with internal departments to resolve issues of unsatisfactory quality performance in trade, assist with forecasting to ensure quality and freshness
  • Contribute to packaging management activities, including supplier selection, vendor evaluation, and non-conformity management
  • Manage the budget, operational call center, withdrawal/recall process, and other quality projects
  • Lead the local quality team and develop the team capabilities
