British American Tobacco UK has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Pipeline Project Manager - Modern Oral – Fixed-Term in London
We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and passionate individual to join our marketing team and be a part of an exciting opportunity to make Modern Oral not only the fastest growing, most profitable NC brand, but the largest contributor to our future of a Building a Smokeless World. As part of the dedicated central marketing team within our New Categories division, you’ll be responsible for supporting the planning, developing, and executing of strategy that drives category growth through our powerful global brand - VELO.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to commercialize the global pipeline, ensuring the successful delivery of product initiatives for the MO category. This role involves overseeing global pipeline projects, initiatives, and deployment guidelines, covering all aspects of the product mix—from the final stages of product development to qualification, positioning, and deployment principles. Additionally, you will support a variety of specific product portfolio projects, ensuring they are delivered according to brief, while producing clear deployment plans and positioning recommendations, informed by insightful market analysis.

Responsibilities:
- Preparing comprehensive deployment plans for global pipeline activities, including:
- Strategic justification for deployment scenarios.
- Coordination of financial assessments & coordination of business case preparations.
- Portfolio application and geo roll-out planning alongside portfolio deployment team.
- Pipeline Projects Coordination and Deployment: Leading coordination of global pipeline product deployment projects, being the owner of the key deliverables.
- New Product Introduction (NPI): Coordinating NPI project teams, led by the Innovation Project Manager (IPM), ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
- Developing product propositions and brief brand teams to ensure alignment with the product’s unique selling points for effective communication development.
- Product Lifecycle Management (PLM): Administering and managing PLM-related tasks to ensure products are accurately tracked and updated throughout their lifecycle.
- Product Portfolio Deployment Guidelines: Leading the creation and continuous improvement of product portfolio deployment guidelines, ensuring alignment with company strategy and needs of different market typologies.
- Claims Management: Overseeing and managing claims on technical features across relevant product initiatives, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulations.
- Naming Convention Deployment: Support Divisional Regional Business Units (DRBUs) and regions on product naming conventions, including trademark assessments and global legal/CORA evaluations of proposed names.
- Compliance and Regulatory Coordination: Working closely with the compliance team to prioritize Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Consumer Product Safety (CPS) tasks, ensuring deployment activities adhere to markets’ timelines.
- Budget Management: coordinating the product pipeline budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and tracking of expenditures related to product deployment activities.
- Collaborating with a broad, cross-functional team: Category Pipeline & Brand Teams, Finance, Operations, R&D, Legal, & External Relations, and our key region leads.
- Serving as a steward of portfolio and pipeline strategy amongst cross functional teams & regions.
