KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- This role will support key commercial activities led by the Senior Manager, but focus will be on Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers – i.e. one-off procurements, less-critical procurements (per segmentation outcome).
- Support (and manage) commercial elements of contract e.g. budget for projects, service credits, LDs or similar
- Lead supply market research in support of broader business needs and objectives
- Support (and lead) contract formation activities - prepare & manage contract management/supplier management activities/agendas.
- Support market analysis and research to ensure competitive insights and approaches to key suppliers/supplier landscape are available to broader business units.
- Actively support cross-functional working groups for early procurement engagement for critical procurements
- Work with BA to meet and manage UK and Optima IT Procurement needs (except Tier1 suppliers).
- Develop, support and manage supplier metrics framework to evaluate current and potential suppliers – performance risk and compliance.
- Manage RASCI/Issue management and escalations in support of Senior Manager
- Work closely with Procurement BA to develop and deliver supplier performance reports/analytics and ExCo update packs.
- Collaborate with AP to ensure invoice accuracy and timeliness of payments are in line with contractual obligations
- Work with CoE to enhance procurement systems and compliance across broader business
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Good experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management (preferably in the Tech and Finance industry) across indirect spend categories.
- Strong Supplier Management Skills
- Experience in managing contract negotiations across diverse categories
Responsibilities:
A day in the life/ Role SummaryThis role will support the management Group’s spend categories outside of Technology, including professional services, recruitment, corporate services and advertising and marketing. This includes supporting the senior commercial manager, as well as negotiating Tier 2 and 3 non-critical supplier contracts.
