We are searching for a Commercial Product Manager, a key person to drive growth and sales in our product unit Swing Door in Business Segment BSP (Pedestrian) within ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems division.
The Product Unit is responsible to define, develop, market all products and services around Swing Doors.
As our Commercial Product Manager, you will ensure that we can offer and promote a product portfolio for all business units, different verticals and sales channels. You will also support, coach and inspire the local sales organizations to exceed our ambitious goals.
The Product Unit is based in Landskrona, Sweden and you will report to the Head of Product Unit. Our key markets are Northern Europe and North America and the challenge is to understand these different markets and customer needs. Therefore, you will be asked to travel when necessary (approximately 20%).

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED

We are looking for someone who:

  • has a degree in Sales and Marketing, Business administration, Engineering or similar
  • has 8 years of experience in Sales or Product Management, preferably but not necessarily with Building Automation, Architectural Hardware and/or related to Door Openings
  • has strong communication skills and the ability to work through cross-functional teams and build sustainable relationships at all levels of the organization
  • is a business focused Product Manager with excellent commercial skills and a very strong strategic and solution-oriented mindset
  • is proficient in English, this being our corporate language, any additional languages would be beneficial

Responsibilities:

As a Commercial Product Manager you are the main link from the Business to our Development and your goal is to define the portfolio needs, work together with the head of the Product Unit on the future strategy, launch developed product and develop sales in the Business units through appropriate training and support.
Your main priority will be to understand market and customer needs, competition landscape and to create opportunities for sales in our Business Units, but even more important, support the overall strategy and product portfolio long term. To be able to do that you will closely cooperate with the Product Development team and other Product Units.

You would also:

  • share relevant market input to the Product Development Team keeping in mind our customers and markets’ needs as well as competition landscape, global and local trends in market and technology
  • collaborate with and support our different sales channels, direct sales and through distribution channel as well as supporting vertical strategies across product units
  • collaborate with and support our marketing and pricing team
  • support the growth of our winning atmosphere and help us building an organizational culture based on Empowerment, Innovation and Integrity keeping in mind our company’s strategy and vision
