Description:

Full training will be provided, but applicants will be expected to be/have:
- a law degree or equivalent
- ideally you will have property experience (either commercial or residential)
- an interest in developing your own experience and expertise through focused training
- be able to present written communication which is both clear and grammatically correct
- be happy to attend networking and other events as an ambassador of the firm
- be able to work accurately under pressure of deadlines
- have highly developed interpersonal skills and used to working as a team player
- possess excellent communication skills including ability to communicate by telephone or face to face meeting with internal and external clients in a courteous and professional manner
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a paralegal to join our team based in our Bury St Edmunds office to work in our expanding residential development team.
As a Paralegal with us, you will carry out a wide range of routine legal tasks to support our fee earners in all of our teams across the team. You can expect to:
- produce a first draft of legal documentation, working in conjunction with your fee earners
- have direct contact with clients and with those of the other solicitor and partners where appropriate. This may include supporting fee earners by meeting clients face to face, dealing with telephone calls and responding to emails and letters
- take instructions from clients when appropriate
- conduct searches where appropriate
- work closely with the central support teams to produce e-bundles
- carry out research on behalf of the team, including updates in law, and be prepared to provide this information to fee earners in either written or presentation form
- discuss issues that arise on your tasks, and those you are working on for others, to ensure the correct advice is being given
- attend networking and other events as an ambassador of the firm
- be active in building relationships with colleagues internally and key external sources with a view to increasing referral opportunities
