This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Sales Analyst to make a true impact and provide analytical support and drive sales and operations planning for Imperial Brands New Zealand (IBNZ).
Optimize sales operations and trade commercials in a highly regulated environment.
Work in a close knit team with a Senior Sales Analyst, and be responsible for overseeing the execution of cycle activities and customer engagement plans, as well as reporting on market plans and field force KPIs within the local market.
An expert in advanced analytics, utilise excel other tools to optimise reporting, identify trends, and enhance data-driven strategies.
Permanent full time role, based in Petone, Wellington New Zealand, reports to the Trade Marketing and Operations Manager within a close knit team. To succeed you will have… energy, drive, and commercial acumen!

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a commercial / sales analyst or similar role, preferably within FMCG or sales management and/or a relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SalesForce, SAP).
  • Commercially minded with the ability to leverage customer insights and make strategic connections to maximise performance.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills, analyse data & translate insights.
  • Proactive, resilient, and relationship-focused, consistently developing skills and building trust with field sales to become a trusted advisor.

  • Process Improvement & Efficiency: Proven track record of streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and reducing resolution times for database issues, ultimately boosting team productivity and driving business results.
  • Campaign Optimisation & Sales Growth: Successfully contribute towards campaign initiatives, utilising data insights to significantly increase sales and retention for our brands.
  • Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Experienced in training and mentoring colleagues, facilitating team meetings, and driving collaboration across departments to ensure optimal performance and alignment with data driven business goals.
