Description:

The Asia SE&O (Sales Enablement & Operations) organization has decided to create the Asia Surface Commercial Executive team within the Surface Go-to-Market team to help grow the Surface business with high profitability across the Asian market.
The Surface Commercial Executive (CE) is a trusted advisor who leads the design and execution of the customer’s commercial strategy and negotiation, selling the right commercial solution at the right time and ensuring every deal is compliant and profitable for Microsoft.
The Surface CE’s role includes being a negotiator and pricing expert who also serves as a gatekeeper to control discount expectations. The Surface CE makes decisions on all special pricing cases submitted by partners. Additionally, the role involves escalating pricing requests to Devices BD and Deal Acceleration Review when needed.

QUALIFICATION - KEY EXPERIENCE

Key Experiences:

  • Seasoned sales and negotiation professional, unafraid of conflict.Positive attitude and a passion for working with customers and partners.
  • Comfortable speaking at all organizational levels, from the CxO to the procurement / purchasing teams.
  • Able to make the best choices for the customer based on their commercial strategic needs.
  • Strategic, long-term thinker able to analyze data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Team player and collaborative - high performing individualists will not be successful.
  • In-depth and strategic understanding of Surface business, licensing programs and contracting will be essential but not required at hiring.

REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

  • 7+ years sales and negotiation experience
  • 7+ years of experience managing relationships with stakeholders, clients, and/or customers.
  • 7+ years of experience using data to drive business outcomes or inform business decisions.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Surface/Hardware selling process understanding is plus.

Responsibilities:

The Commercial Executive will be responsible for the following:

Revenue Generation and Growth

  • Achieve revenue and business growth for Microsoft and ensure compliance through sales process. Understand customers needs, address objections and tailor commercial solutions to ensure long term success.
  • Lead internal and external sales and management teams through commercial construct and deal making. Optimize right level of investment and customization leveraging price and non-price concessions.
  • Take relevant steps to make sure Surface deal execution is successful.
