Description:
Our shop is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Tire Technician who can work with a range of tires, from commercial truck tires to heavy-duty equipment. This role involves performing tire installation, repair, and maintenance on commercial, heavy equipment, and agriculture tires, while also assisting with other mechanical repairs as as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with heavy-duty and commercial tires is required.
- Familiarity with tire-changing equipment and tools is needed.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift heavy tires and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Responsibilities:
- Remove, install, and repair tires on all commercial trucks, heavy-duty equipment, and agricultural tires.
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, and other issues, ensuring they meet safety standards.
- Perform tire balancing, rotations, and alignments.
- Operate tire-changing and balancing machines safely and efficiently.
- Handle large tires and heavy lifting with proper techniques and safety precautions.
- Assist with other basic mechanical tasks, including routine maintenance and vehicle inspections.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace, following all safety regulations.
- Ability to work outdoors, both in winter and summer conditions.
