Main Responsibilities

  • To consistently prepare and cook all food to the standards and dish specifications, as implemented by the kitchen management team
  • To be hands on and present during the busy service periods
  • To be a team player at all times and be prepared to be flexible in order to ensure that all operations are always as guest-focused, efficient and profitable as possible
  • To ensure that Sodexo Health & Safety Policy and Food Safety Management System are adhered to in the kitchen including all related paperwork checks & record keeping, as requested by the kitchen management team
  • To assist in the delivery of best practice within the kitchen, as laid out by the kitchen management team
  • To develop strong team relations via open communication between all members of the restaurant team both front and back of house

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience as commis chef or kitchen assistant, who has worked in busy and fast paced work environment
  • Calm and patient under pressure
  • Able to work within a very busy lounge and stressful environment
  • Overall a passion for food
  • Demonstrative customer focus and service skills

Package Description

  • 40 hours per week
  • £12.50 per hour
  • Lounge opening hours - 4am - 11pm
  • 4 on 2 off - varying shift times
  • Role will be permanent once passed vetting
