From La Terrazza - one of the most spectacular restaurants in Italy - to our new Pool Grill Restaurant and Cocktail Bar, culinary excellence is in our DNA.
We are looking for a Commis de Rang for the next season (spring/summer 2025) to join our restaurant team.
The ideal candidate is open to new challenges and ready to constantly develop yourself further. He/she is willing to support the team to provide authentic and luxury dining experiences, demonstrating care, curiosity and community.
He/She should have customer service attitudes.
He/She reports to Chef de Rang.
Main duties & responsibilities:
- Fulfil the operations of the Food & Beverage outlets - La Terrazza Restaurant and Splendido Grill Restaurant - according to the Company policies, high standards and procedures.
- Clean and set-up floors, tables, chairs, linens, glass and silver for service
- Support the Chef de Rang with service
- Take care of the mise en place
- Monitor all aspects of the customers’ experience, from the restaurant layout before they arrive to the experience they receive during the service. Act to enhance a flawless service and anticipate Guests’ needs
REQUIREMENTS
- Effective communication: communicate clearly and in an appropriate manner (both verbally and non-verbally).
- Emotional intelligence: demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and emotions of guests and colleagues and adjust his/her style to them. Manage own emotions in challenging situations.
- Adaptability: identify when a different approach is needed and offer solutions. Try and adopt new ways of doing things.
- Collaboration: be able and willing to work as a team player e Share information and skills and actively seek and provide feedback.
Other requirements:
- Tourism or Hospitality degree preferred
- Passion for service and ambition to grow professionally
- Previous professional experience in a similar role, also with school internships
- References
- Fluent in Italian and basic level of English
- HACCP Certification
