THE POSITION:

Genus Industrial Services are seeking a Commissioning Engineer for an immediate start on the Melbourne Renewable Energy Hub (MREH) project in Melbourne.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within construction, mining or resources.
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging in technical working groups.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.

  • Possess a strong commitment to behavioural safety and cultural change initiatives.
  • Experience with budgeting and cost estimation.
  • Skillful in effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated use of Microsoft Office software: Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Demonstrated use of AutoCAD, Microstation or Solidworks.
  • Knowledge of industry rules, regulations, best business practices and performance standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide commissioning inputs into MREH project and designs, ensuring contract, budget, standard and procedure compliance.
  • Develop commissioning plans in accordance with the project guidelines.
  • Prepare and maintain commission records of site observations, testing processes and checklists.
  • Compile and evaluate contractual commissioning statistics and report data for summarising and in accordance with the needs of the project.
  • Create and conduct testing procedures to ensure equipment works to it specification
