Job Purpose
The purpose of the Commissioning Engineer is to provide technical support with respect to commissioning of subsea projects. The Commissioning Engineer will work closely with Front End, tendering and project execution teams to provide both technical guidance and assurance. The Commissioning Engineer will have the responsibility to assist and provide technical assurance in the development and maintenance of Commissioning Execution Plans, Commissioning Flowcharts, Responsibility and Certification Matrices together with assisting setting up and maintaining the Commissioning Management System. The Commissioning Engineer will have responsibility for training and coaching both discipline and project engineers and will assist in their technical development. The Commissioning Engineer will assist with progressing and maintaining processes, technical developments and tooling innovations associated with the discipline.
Job Description
Review System level documentation to ensure proposed design solutions are fit for purpose and enable safe and efficient subsea installation, intervention, pre/commissioning and operation
Experience in subsea production control system installation, intervention, testing and commissioning
Experience in subsea flowlines and umbilicals installation, intervention, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning
Responsible for consistency of methodology and quality of delivery provided by the discipline team
Assist with development of strategy and technology initiatives associated with discipline
Active involvement in the development of technical innovations and industry best practice
Provision of technical expertise to assist other business units within the TFMC group
Development of training materials and tools for both Discipline and Project Engineers
Ensure that onshore and offshore operational activities are adequately supported to assure safe and efficient execution
You are meant for this job if:
HND / Degree within Engineering based discipline
Experience of subsea control systems commissioning
Experience of subsea production system pre-commissioning and commissioning
An understanding of all relevant design codes and standards
Experience regarding intervention, functional operation, testing and commissioning of the key components comprising multiplexed electro-hydraulic subsea control systems • Knowledge regarding topside control systems
Understanding of Safety Instrumented Systems
Operational experience in Commissioning of subsea infrastructure
Some operational experience in the use and management of Commissioning Management tools
