NEP Australia is currently looking for a Commissioning & Support Engineer to join our team on site at the Andrews HUB in Eveleigh, New South Wales!

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Work with end users on technical issues including software system design and maintenance. Reach SLA targets for any support issues assigned
  • Oversee new deployments of the software including design, commissioning and training
  • Work with our project management system Jira by writing, updating and maintaining tickets
  • Provide reporting on deployment and ensure that software is able to be automatically built and deployed
  • Analyse and report on performance and availability of production deployments
  • Write tutorials and contribute to the software manual in Confluence
  • Test automation systems including redundant systems and disaster recovery systems
  • Be available for support and meet SLA response times
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues and outages including on-call support where appropriate
  • Develop scripts for automation of tasks
  • Compile and analyse data, processes, and code to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement. Reach targets for minimising bugs and code quality checks

Responsibilities:

  • Support the operational use of the software worldwide via slack, the service desk, support tickets and Opsgenie notifications
  • Work shift work, including weekends, as required within the team to ensure operational support requirements are covered
  • Produce training documentation and procedures for troubleshooting
  • Implement toolsets including Git, Kubernetes, Lens and Grafana and keep documentation up-to-date
  • Undertake shifts alongside a Broadcast Engineer to ensure:
  • Superior understanding and programming of control systems within facilities
  • Superior operation and design of Technical Workflow solutions
  • Understanding of Production Workflow requirements
  • Advanced understanding of signal flow to and from the HUB and within OB and IP facilities
  • Superior understanding of equipment used within OB and IP Trucks/ flyaway kits
  • Contribute to the security of the infrastructure to mitigate risks of breaches and ensure NEP is protected from harm
  • Train other staff to ensure appropriate support levels and role redundancy
  • Developing ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends
  • Collaborate with front end developers, engineers and other devops to effectively perform duties
