Omega 365 Consulting is a leading supplier of highly skilled project personnel in the oil and gas, renewable energy, and infrastructure sectors. We offer a wide range of consultant assignments, featuring many of the most exciting projects in Norway and internationally.
ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION
- Yggdrasil is the biggest ongoing development on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and through it, a mature area in the North Sea is opened.
- The area consists of the Hugin, Fulla and Munin licence groups.
- Extensive new infrastructure is planned for the area.
- The concept consists of a processing platform with well area and living quarters (Hugin A) that will function as an area hub.
- Hugin A is planned with low manning levels and is also being developed to be periodically unmanned after a few years of operation.
- Munin, to the north of the area, is an unmanned production platform.
- Hugin A will provide services such as receiving and stabilising oil and treatment of produced water to Munin and will also deliver water for injection to the subsea production facilities.
- The Frøy field is developed with a normally unmanned wellhead platform (Hugin B) that will be tied back to Hugin A.
- Yggdrasil also represents an extensive subsea development with a total of nine templates, pipelines and umbilicals.
- 55 wells are planned in the area.Responsebility:
- Contribute to the preparation phase with review and verification of documentation and drawings that are relevant to MC and Commissioning of designated systems.
- Provide engineering input
- Estimation and planning of commissioning scope of work onshore and offshore for designated systems, including input to plan.
- Able to work independently to plan and execute MC follow-up and commissioning activities.
- Participate in MC punch outs and FATs at supplier sites.
- Deliver input and update progress into project completion system PIMS.
- Develop, review, and implementation of commissioning procedures.
- Coordinate with different departments and disciplines to ensure efficient execution of commissioning with high focus on HSSE.
- Plan and call off ATS as and when required.
- Manage assistance personnel from contractors and other resources providing services
- Ensure spare parts and special tools are available prior to execution of commissioning activities.
- Plan and ensure first fills are available in timely fashion and perform first fills.
- Provide leadership to ensure that a high level of focus is maintained on health, safety, and the environment to achieve Client’s expectations.
- Plan and coordinate commissioning assistance and support as required.
- Participate in discipline MC punch rounds at sites for designated systems.
- Plan and execute commissioning activities in a timely manner based on Commissioning plan.
- Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operations.
- Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BSc. or MsC in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experienceEssential experience and job requirements
- Experience from NORSOK projects.
- System-based commissioning knowledge and understanding
- Track record of delivery in the Oil & Gas industry for the Norwegian Continental Shelf and able to demonstrate effective system commissioning skills are a major advantage
- Familiarity with Project Completions Systems and document management systems. Experience with PIMS is an advantage.
- Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning engineers & technicians to achieve timely execution of commissioning activities
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
