Job Title: Commissions Analyst (II)
Business Unit: Finance
Location: London
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer, EMEA and functional reporting into Manager, Commissions Payout (Chicago)
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Commissions Analyst will be a key member of the Global Commissions Team within a dynamic and growing international Company. The Global Commissions team is part of the broader Finance function that has teams in the US, UK and Dubai. This role is a front-office facing role and the Analyst will be interacting with both Brokers and Sales teams on a continual basis. This Analyst will be responsible for executing the brokers commission payments and bonuses in an accurate and timely manner. Duties include implementing deal instructions within our external payout system, posting journal entries into the Company’s ERP system, reconciling specific general ledger accounts, adhering to month end timelines, and overall support of the Commissions function. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and professionalism are a requirement for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous commission payout experience is a plus
  • Worked within a Professional environment for a minimum of 5 years
  • Bachelor degree with an emphasis on Accounting or Finance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of Sun General Ledger System is a plus
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Able to effectively communicate with other Departmental employees
  • Experience working in an office setting and ability to correspond professionally is a must, along with providing excellent customer service, as RJO is a “Client Service” oriented firm.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and review monthly commission payout calculations for multiple groups including external Introducing Brokers and internal Producers utilizing the Xactly Software System;
  • Understand and calculate the various payout computations based on specific terms within the contract;
  • Provide back up for other Commission Team members and their respective duties;
  • Prepare and post commission payout journal entries;
  • Responsible for month end procedures related to payout calculation with specific time sensitive deadlines;
  • Communicate payouts with internal and external Brokers on an independent basis, respond to and resolve queries on calculations, discuss results;
  • Communicate with management as required;
  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of commission payments;
  • Work with Accounting, Payroll and Treasury teams as necessary;
  • Code deals with the Xactly payout system;
  • Work effectively in a global environment and respond timely to internal and external requests;
  • Ad hoc projects based on the needs of the Finance Department
