JOB DESCRIPTION
Join our Commodities Settlements Team and deliver excellent service by collaborating globally with clients across various regions.
As a Commodities Settlements Analyst at Commodities Settlements Team, you play a critical role in ensuring cash is delivered to and received from clients in a timely and accurate manner, mitigating risk, investigating, and resolving complex trade queries and providing a first-class service to our clients and internal Front Office teams. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the globe to support the firm’s business objectives, maintain a controlled and efficient back-office function and seek to leverage technology to improve processes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS
- Self-motivated and ability to deliver with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a high pressure environment with time-critical deliveries
- Control mindset to identify process control gaps, prioritize, and mitigate operational risk
- Effective stakeholder management
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS
- Experience with investment banking environment, preferably in Middle Office / Trade Support

Responsibilities:
- Produces and provides of invoices to clients
- Prepares Agreement of settlement details with clients - accurate settlement of cash owed to clients or JPM within all currency cut off times
- Performs Cash accounting and reconciliation
- Initiate account funding
- Provides an excellent level of service to external clients and internal sales and trading desks, resolving queries, and fulfilling client requests
- Works closely and communicating effectively with all teams in the Commodities Business and Derivative Operations – Trading and Sales desks, Middle Offices, Credit Risk, Physical logistics teams, Business Management, Product Control, Financial Control, Reference data and Onboarding teams. Escalating issues and queries where appropriate
- Builds Commodity Product, Derivative instrument and JPM system knowledge
- Analyses and challenge current processes to identify and implement process / control improvements
- Controls and risk focus to ensure the team is operating at the highest compliant standard within JPM and Industry rules and regulations
