Description:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • a degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or Economics,
  • extensive experience in procurement at managerial levels (5+ years), ideally with an international background,
  • strong proficiency in English (German would be an asset),
  • proven expertise in cost management, with a track record of achieving cost reduction goals,
  • excellent negotiation abilities,
  • capable of performing well under pressure and adapting to fast-paced environments,
  • very good MS Office (Excel) and SAP skills,
  • experience working within matrix organizational structures,
  • willingness to travel in business.

Responsibilities:

  • contribute to the development of the company’s global procurement organization,
  • develop, execute, and communicate strategies for the assigned categories,
  • lead supplier selection processes to ensure alignment with category strategies and meet business needs,
  • build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers,
  • leverage strategic tools and techniques to maximize value,
  • prepare business cases and effectively present justifications for cost-saving opportunities,
  • improve working capital by negotiating extended payment terms with suppliers,
  • implement supplier agreements to mitigate risks and achieve the required level of supplier performance for assigned categories,
  • stay informed about industry and market trends impacting assigned categories to facilitate effective discussions and negotiations,
  • lead and support purchasing activities, acting as the category expert.
