DESCRIPTION
The Communication Engagement Strategist builds authentic and best in class communications. They speak to hearts and minds and are motivated by hard work, problem solving, and collaboration with others. They are masters of crafting the strategic approach, not just tactics, framing the problem and fueling teams to get to the solution. They synthesize large amounts of information into key insights that are compelling and cut through clutter with plans that put the right information, in the right place, at the right time, for the right person. This role lives at the intersection of our HR People teams, Employee Relations, Legal, Corporate Communications and PR as well as our Field Leadership ensuring stakeholders and our team members needs are kept in a balance. This is a comprehensive role, that depends on strategy, messaging, programming and execution. The Communication Engagement Strategist will develop a complete communication program and use the full breadth of tactics that includes posts, team/leadership events, employee stories and more, to enhance team members experience, deepen belonging and help drive employee engagement on a daily basis, all in a way that is consumable and valuable for our teams. Responsibilities include. - Developing communication strategies, programs and tactics to meet the wide-range of communication needs and wants of our team members from career development, to benefits to the best ways to help our customers. - Creating the ongoing messaging for the team across many vehicles to help them deeply understand what it means to be part of Apple Retail and how they each have an impact on Apple and our customers. - Working in partnership with subject matter experts across Apple to ensure their programs or initiatives are communicated to retail team members to maximize understanding and engagement. - Execute complete engagement strategies across various touchpoints like Calls, Team Meetings, Written communication and video with metrics to measure success. - Turn skeptics into believers and believers into advocates.
- At least 7 years of experience in developing employee facing communications.
- Industry experience in mobilizing people through advocacy, community engagement, journalism or politics.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Internal communications experience in developing content, employee sentiment strategies and programs, including daily, unplanned, crisis and operational communications.
- Has worked collaboratively with cross-functional partners and collaborators, especially creative/design, marketing, corporate communication, and people and legal teams.
- Understanding of social, political and cultural environments and impact on internal communications and employee sentiment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead multiple projects and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Makes space to listen, learn, and amplify diverse perspectives and experiences.
- Actively seeks out opportunities to champion and celebrate inclusion and diversity.
