MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced university degree in communication, social science, journalism, political science or a related field.
- Five years of relevant experience in communication, intranet/web publishing and/or design with demonstrated management responsibilities.
- Working knowledge (proficient - level C) of English and limited knowledge (intermediate - level B) of another FAO official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).
TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
- Work experience in more than one location or area of work, particularly in field positions.
- Demonstrated experience in managing activities and teams related to internal communications, intranet/web publishing and/or design as well as event production and direction.
- Extent and relevance of experience in drafting high-quality written materials for a wide variety of audiences.
- Extent and relevance of experience in intranet/web publishing and/or design.
- Experience training and guiding team members in internal communications workflows and use of tools and applications
- Ability to write, edit and synthesize complex messaging in English for an internal audience.
- Extent and relevance of experience in managing content production, in particular graphic and video content for internal channels and events.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe creative suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro) and SiteFinity.
- Strong understanding of FAO policies and programmes is considered a strong asset.
- Extent and relevance of experience in the field of communication services for prominent organizations, particularly at the international level.
- Understanding of FAO policies and programmes is considered a strong asset.
