PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in PR/communications at a global level.
- Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or Journalism, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong personal interest and/or background in safety and tech will prove very valuable.

Responsibilities:
As a strategist you will lead safety communication in the product and tech comms team consisting of highly competent communication professionals from diverse backgrounds.
Your role will involve developing and implementing safety communication strategies to audiences ranging from media, consumers, influencers, investors, analysts, employees, potential future hires, and Volvo fans to drive brand reputation and business growth. You will take initiative to find and craft compelling stories, build the safety narratives and create written and visual content by working closely with the key experts and partners of the company.
In this role you will also lead project-based teams from start to finish, in collaboration with the wider communication, marketing, and brand community and with colleagues from across the business and markets around the globe. Furthermore, you will be the safety communications lead supporting product launches and major events from strategic planning to execution. You will be part of the global product and tech communications team, working closely with our central PR team and markets to help address safety-related questions from media and other key stakeholders.
