Description:

ABOUT US

St Barnabas House provides specialist palliative care to adults in the Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield areas through a range of services, including in-patient care and community living well services. Our sister hospice, Chestnut Tree House, is the children’s hospice for East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire, providing specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. Martlets Hospice in Hove provides specialist in-patient and community palliative care to adults in the East Sussex area. St Barnabas Hospices and Martlets Hospice have now merged becoming the Southern Hospice Group. Bringing our teams and resources together, as one organisation means we can focus on new and exciting visions and plans for our people and patients and provide even greater opportunities for our workforce.
We are committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community – a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed on merit. We offer various family-friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements, staff engagement forums, facilities and services to support staff from different backgrounds.

Responsibilities:

Following a merger between St Barnabas Hospices (incorporating St Barnabas House and Chestnut Tree House) and Martlets to form the Southern Hospice Group, we’ve undertaken a strategic restructure of the Fundraising and Communications teams and are recruiting to a number of new roles. These roles work across all three hospices and will play a fundamental part as we build and develop our new team. This is an exciting opportunity for driven, innovative and open-minded individuals to be a part of a ground-breaking collaboration for hospices across Sussex and South-East Hampshire.
The Communications Account Executive plays an integral role in understanding the marketing and communications needs of the hospices, providing general marketing and communications support (both strategic and tactical), as well as commissioning and co-ordinating more specialist support from other areas of the Marketing & Communications team.
You’ll have the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders; listening, understanding and applying your communications expertise to ensure that you are delivering high quality marketing and communications services that meet stakeholders’ needs. You’ll be an expert advisor, suggesting the most appropriate plans and methods to help colleagues achieve their aims and, ultimately, delivering on those plans.
