We are looking for a Communications Advisor, 12 months to join our Tech+Lab Communications team.
Your mission? Participate in raising the profile of Technology and Intact Lab teams and assist them with all their communications and events, both internal and external. You’ll help create engaging content for the team’s intranet and deliver creative events and inspiring experiences for over 3,000 Tech+Lab employees across Canada.
Joining the team, you’ll report to the Manager, Tech+Lab Communications. Your organizational skills, thoroughness, creativity and versatility will be essential to executing impactful event concepts with passion and precision.
As part of Intact’s Corporate Communications team, the Tech+Lab Communications team is responsible, among other things, for the creation and implementation of numerous large-scale, high-visibility internal and external events. We organize activities and events for employees and managers (including monthly or quarterly information meetings, recognition events, informal exchanges and forums with senior management, sharing of technical expertise, etc.), as well as external events designed to raise awareness of Tech+Lab teams and promote our brand as an employer of choice in technology.
Dedicated to providing quality communication services to Intact’s COO, over fifteen senior executives and some 3,000 technology experts, our team values generosity, excellence, and respect, all while having a good time. Your professional skills will be just as important as your personal and relational qualities (as well as your sense of humour, a considerable asset!).
What you’ll do here:
- Take part in the creative thinking and development of events and projects.
- Actively participate in the planning, coordination and execution of all logistical and material aspects of event organization.
- Be present on site at events and help ensure that they run smoothly.
- Participate in the drafting and dissemination of event-related communications.
- Keep abreast of best practices and trends in event organization and make suggestions for the implementation of ever more innovative and engaging activities.
- Suggest topics of interest, research, write and publish articles on the Tech+Lab team intranet.
- Contribute to various other tasks or projects, depending on the team’s mandates and your skills.

QUALIFICATIONS
- DCS or bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or an appropriate discipline
- Previous work experience or internship in a communications and/or events-related position
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (including SharePoint), an asset
- Comfortable using graphic or video production/editing tools (such as Photoshop or Canva), an asset
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country
