Description:
THIS VOLUNTEER PLACEMENT IS LOCATED IN: BOGOTÁ, BOGOTA, COLOMBIA
Start Date: October 2024
Placement Length: 6 months with the possibility of extension
Language Requirements: Spanish Level 4-Advanced
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, advertising, journalism or other creative fields.
- Proficient in the design and use of audiovisual tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere or other video editing programs
- Experience and/or studies related to feminism, gender and human rights are considered an asset.
- Able to handle digital image cropping and utilize graphic manuals and templates
- Proficient in managing Twitter, WordPress, Instagram, Facebook, Tiktotk and YouTube
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS:
Please note that if you are shortlisted for the placement, you will be required to:
- Confirm Passport or Permanent Resident details for travel purposes
- Provide 2 Professional References and 1 Personal Reference
- Complete a language assessment during the preliminary telephone interview in the language required for your placement
- Obtain a satisfactory Police Check
- Complete a medical exam and be medically cleared before your departure
- Due to the COVID-19 situation, be double vaccinated following the World Health Organization-approved vaccines.

We’re looking for a volunteer like you to create compelling social media campaigns and communication materials for our partner Demus. You’ll be responsible for contributing to the production of eye-catching graphics and videos to promote their message.
DEMUS is a Peruvian feminist organization that fights against the hegemonic culture that supports machismo, heteronormativity, classism, racism, and other forms of discrimination. They work towards making the violation of women’s and LGTBIQ+ people’s sexual and reproductive rights more visible and demand justice for them.
