Responsibilities:
The Communications & Marketing Officer provides expertise in the conception, development and editing of storytelling, in alignment with SFU’s brand. The role acts as the key contact for media, helping to ensure media and social pick up for institutional news and faculty research and innovations. You will use your skills in knowing current media and social trends to conceive, develop and produce outreach activities to elevate the university’s reputation.
The ideal candidate will have experience in media relations and strategic communications, along with excellent storytelling, writing and editing skills. They can translate complex and challenging research into compelling media releases, stories and social media posts, provide media training and support external institutional announcements and events.
