Description:
ABOUT US
The James M. and Cathleen D. Stone Centre on Wealth Concentration, Inequality and the Economy was established in September 2021. Its mission is to advance research and teaching to provide a clear understanding of the causes and consequences of wealth inequality and to devise policy interventions to mitigate its adverse consequences. The Centre uses the research capacity of the UCL Economics Department to pair up with CORE Econ, which is changing economics education globally so as to focus on the most important problems faced by our societies. The Centre is building a global hub for research and learning that will make wealth concentration and its impacts on innovation and sustainability central to an economics education.
Responsibilities:
The post holder will be responsible for the development and delivery of Stone Centre’s and CORE Econ’s communications. A key element of this role is the effective communication with existing and potential adopters of CORE Econ’s educational materials as well as the wider research community targeted by the Stone Centre. In addition, the post holder will develop, deliver, and manage an outreach strategy towards the economics teaching community in order to assist with the increase in adoptions of CORE Econ’s educational materials in instruction. The postholder will also support the Stone Centre Manager in the organisation of events and meetings, as well as with some finance administration.
