Health Communications is seeking an energetic and motivated communications professional to join our team as a Communications Consultant. As a valued member of our communications team, you will research and produce a variety of written communications materials to support the goals and objectives of the Ministry.

In this challenging position, you will:

  • provide strategic communications advice and direction for a variety of programs and services;
  • research and prepare a wide range of written materials including communications strategies, speeches, news releases, media backgrounders and social media content;
  • develop and implement communication plans and advertising campaigns;
  • provide issues management and media relations support as required; and
  • create visually pleasing print and campaign materials using Saskatchewan Government Visual Identity Standards and Adobe Creative Suite.

Typically, the knowledge required for this position would be gained through completion of post-secondary studies in Communications and/or Journalism, although other relevant education and work experience will also be considered. Knowledge of the Saskatchewan health system, the Sitecore content management system and use of the Adobe Creative Suite would be an asset.
